Supply chain instability and delivery delays
Dear Trading Partner,
2021 was a stormy year for all of us and another challenging year 2022 lies ahead.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have endeavoured to act as a reliable supplier and partner. Our aim is to support you as effectively as possible and to find solutions based on partnership. However, conditions have changed for the worse over the recent months. Production and logistics costs have increased massively. The Asian supply market has made lead times virtually unplannable due to power cuts, port closures and a general shortage of materials.
With all these problems combined, it is very difficult for us to maintain delivery times in the usual way, despite all the risks we have taken as a company. For this reason, we are contacting you now to inform you of the possibility of delivery delays. Our sales department will inform you, if necessary, of any order-specific delays. Our logistics team has been working flat out between Christmas and New Year to try and compensate for delayed incoming merchandise. Our internal sales team was also on hand to dispatch deliveries as quickly as possible.
We assure you that we are again doing everything in our power to improve the situation. We would also like to take this opportunity to apologise for any delays or inconvenience in the future and ask for your understanding.
Nonetheless, we wish you a good start to 2022. Please stay healthy.
Best wishes,
Michael Beheim and the BIB Team
